Peace Officers Memorial (Colorado Springs)

In early 2017, I had the opportunity to apprentice with renowned Colorado Springs artist, Larry Terrafranca. and assisted in the sculpting and creation of an 8 foot lion, that is an Homage to The Lion of Lucerne(1821, Switzerland). The piece would serve as the centerpiece for the newly created Pikes Peak Regional Peace Officers Memorial. The project took over 4 months and required close to 1000 man hours to complete, in addition to the molding and casting process done off site. My main contribution to the piece was sculpting and texturing the lions main, and the modeled stone base. The lion was unveiled and the memorial opened on the 15th of May 2018. I feel extremely honored to have been allowed the take part in this project. And am deeply great full to Larry Terrafranka for allowing me to participate in his project The artist of this piece is Larwance Terrafranka, I hold no title for this piece. It is currently on permanent display in Memorial Park, Colorado Springs.
